Gyan Box Office

The Rising Star.

This section is about views, not about detailing the sequences, but the entire essence of the movie. Though there are no spoilers ,there might be a reference to a key plot sequence of scene which substantiates the narration.

Read what I felt about some movies –

  3. Raees
  4. Rangoon
  5. PK

  1. Star Wars – The force Awakens
  2. Star Wars – Rogue one
  3. Fight Club
  4. 2012

Here are some movies in my must watch list, irrespective of their commercial success or critical acclaim or publicity and not in any order of preference. First. some Indian Films , again not in any particular order of preference, genre, commercial success or any similar benchmark.

They are good movies , each having at least one element of film making that is absolutely outstanding.

There are some Hollywood flicks which are nothing short of brilliance , in at least one or more element of making a movie.

  • The Bridges of Madison County
  • Papillon
  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • American Beauty

Clearly, these lists are not exhaustive enough, there are more films , and they keep adding. Some notable mentions are missing from the last five or seven years, I will keep adding them as they sustain the “Epic” status, which in some ways transcends time.
