Indian Cricket – 10 Questions

10 questions every Indian Cricket fan should ask.

The difference between victory and defeat lies in that moment of truth , whether you let  go or hang in there for one more second. Fighting each moment of truth inches you close towards winning the war.

Unfortunately, in this England series we lost many such moments and a 1-4 scoreline is written in history forever. We made champions of débutantes and heroes of old war horses, in conditions which were similar to our backyard.

Its time to ask tough questions : here are 10 of them, which Cricket lovers across the country should ask the team.

Take a look at any newspaper, news portal, or channel. Conflicts in ideologies, belief systems, political views, arguments, outrage, simmering  anger , blazing rage, hurl abuses, injustice and intolerance, it seems we humans just can’t stand each other no more, just about everything is at war with each other. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – A view

Karan Johar’s swang song, labour of love, raison de etre, was more of a baap-re, ignite the shove the love and run along, for some.Much awaited, long anticipated left me much irritated, long agitated.

In a  way, that is a compliment because the expectations were well raised and the chemistry well praised. It was all poised to leave you with an epic feeling, instead you feel the need to leave the theater without hitting the ceiling.

United In tolerance

Turns out that there is far lesser tolerance, to debate about tolerance! Strange are the ways a country unites to address intolerance.

Mythbusters : India for Pak

Recently Indiblogger and ZeeTV got together to promote the launch of ZeeTV’s Zindagi channel which will showcase content from Pakistan via their stories or artistes or short tele films. That really set me thinking about my perceptions about Pakistan. and it led me to think of perceptions that an average Pakistani might have for the regular Indian? So I checked out Pakistan TV content on youtube – debates, chat shows, news etc just to get a sense on what are the common misconceptions the Pakistani people might have about India.

Hasan Nissar,Najam Sethi,Zaid Hamid  or shows like Good Morning with Farah and Hazbe Haal caught my attention. It triggered some perceptions of my own and I’m guessing when Pakistani’s hear or see similar content from India it must trigger perceptions. Like the Saas Bahu soaps ,Aaj Tak Parda Fash debates, or the cheesy attention grabbing breaking news from various channels in India.

As we attempt yet another peace process for the umpteenth time, here is a small article which tries to debunk some myths that the regular Paksitanis might have about regular Indians. It gives India’s point of view  from a common man’s perspective.

Bangalore Deadlife

In yet another blow to Bangalore night life, the authorities have declared music to be shut down in pubs by 10PM.

Here are some suggestions for the future :

  1. Bring back prohibition ! No Alcohol no Crime. Right?
  2. No one should work beyond sunset or say 6PM. It increases “nefariousness”
  3. Women should rather be in the kitchen. Afterall cooking is their forte isn’t it?
  4. Cancel all night shows in movie theaters. Or switch on lights in the movie hall.
  5. Enforce curfew after 10PM. Why go out in the night at all eh?
  6. No classical concerts in the night either. Zakir Hussain needs to sleep by 10PM as well.
  7. No movie shooting after dark. Who wants to see dark movies anyways.?
  8. Shut airports.(Music plays there too)  Night flights are bad for the health.
  9. Shut hospitals by 9PM.  Doctors,of all people, certainly need this welcome break.
  10. Shut cable TV after 10PM. Who wants to watch MTV after 10PM anyways?

There is a problem and there is a solution.  Please Reblog/retweet, re whatever to get this solution to the concerned people. Who know we might see a change in their stand?
