Dramatic begets drastic, drastic induces madness, madness guarantees catastrophe! When you have a mix of madness, multiple communication platforms, low-cost technology easily accessible and mass usage,  it makes for a heady cocktail or shall we say, a recipe for disaster.

Hyper communication has changed the way we live and poses a threat to our future. Elections get decided on mass consensus, leaders are chosen on custom tailored messaging to appease masses and they, in turn, are influenced by the communication they see, read and hear on social platforms which being engineered by a few minds behind a computer.

Zero Sum Game

Take a look at any newspaper, news portal, or channel. Conflicts in ideologies, belief systems, political views, arguments, outrage, simmering  anger , blazing rage, hurl abuses, injustice and intolerance, it seems we humans just can’t stand each other no more, just about everything is at war with each other. Twenty percent of the world watches Cricket today, that is more than 1.5Bn people. This explosion of new audience has come by way of making the game more reachable to the masses.

To make it more reachable, it has simplified the sport on hand, and made it more lucrative on the other. This poses the question, whether the sport is being compromised to reach more audiences or are the audiences maturing up to understand the nuances of the game?

We all are a part of a society which is highly stereotypical, we form opinions ,pass judgements and comments based on the most common answer.But there are times when we go horribly wrong with an age old or a popular notion. what happens then? An innocent person is victmised.We dont care about it – until one day that innocent person is you. How do you prove your innocence when you are in a stereotypical environment?
